At Lindesberg Hospital, we have a prosthetic section specializing in joint prosthesis surgery for hip and/or knee osteoarthritis. We also treat patients who have suffered from joint prosthesis infections and have a special clinic for this at the orthopedic outpatient clinic.

The orthopedic and hand surgery area conducts university hospital care and clinical research at the county's three hospitals: Örebro University Hospital, Karlskoga Hospital, and Lindesberg Hospital. The area provides care across the entire orthopedic field, including highly specialized care. A comprehensive restructuring is underway to improve accessibility, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The establishment of a clinical research unit is an important part of this development work.
